A few days ago on Friday, I learned from a fireside (talk by a general authority of the church to young single adults) to expect miracles everyday and to write them down. So I started to focus on specific anecdotes of my day and mission where I learned something of significant importance when writing in my journal at night instead of merely writing what I did each day. Here are a few of them from this week:

Laramie Week 3!
Not too much time this week, but I wanted to share 2 things.
The zone leaders my companion Elder Nash and I live with are awesome. Just over a week ago at Church they decided to inspire the members of their ward to meet with them, have a quick lesson on the Atonement (when he was in the Garden of Gethsemane to His ultimate Resurrection), and then talk to them about people they know who they can share the Gospel with. So, Elder Nash and I invited the members of our ward to do that too just a few days ago at Church. And the response was overwhelmingly positive! Most of the members were interested in meeting with us. I didn't think it would be that easy to start getting some member lessons and talk to them about people they know who they want to share the Gospel with! Elder Nash just told me that he set up 5 more lessons for this week. Last week we didn't hit our goal, but for this week we have lots of dinners and are teaching 4 members the Gospel discussions (to develop our ability to teach and help them grow in their relationship with Christ). I think we will be able to build up to the Standards of Excellence soon. At least by next week is our goal. The lessons we taught last week to the members went really well. We inspired one (who was baptized just over a year ago) to recommit to reading the Book of Mormon all the way through. The work is moving forward. Traction is happening!
Lastly, I wanted to share an experience I had while reading the Book of Mormon yesterday.

In the training center, there were 6 of us Elders in our district and 6 Sisters in another district. They are our extended district - we were in the same zone and arrived/left the MTC the same day.

Week 2 in Laramie
Another Great day in Laramie!
So the "Standards of Excellence" set by our mission president is to do 10 hrs of community service per week, have 20 lessons (which includes dinner appointments if you share a message) per week, have 3 new investigators per week, and have 1 baptism a month. This first week was definitely hard; we weren't close to that since neither my companion nor I was in this ward in the last transfer (6 weeks). So this week, we plan to step it up doing some more community service, teaching more lessons, and relocating past investigators (the missionary before wasn't the best at updating the area book so we had no idea what he was doing before we got there. haha. It's sometimes an adventure!)
Also exciting is that we are now in a part driving area! The first week (since I don't have a bike and it's snowy) we walked a lot or got rides from members. We walked 5-7 miles on Friday. That was pretty intense. But it was exciting! Building character. Tomorrow we'll start sharing the car with another pair of missionaries here since ours is the largest geographical region in this area. It'll help a lot. We won't have to use 35 mins to get from our place to the campus!
A couple awesome things.

Laramie Wyoming!
I'm in my first area! I'm super pumped. It is the Laramie River YSA (young single adults)!! It is almost exactly like the Elmwood YSA in Davis except that it is 70-90 degrees different. But ya. I'm so excited that my first place that I am sent to in the Fort Collins Mission is at the University of Wyoming. Go Cowboys! We already got to go tabling on campus (fortunately the tables are inside) and I taught a brief lesson with my trainer. Super fun. Next to our table was Sorority tabling for their rush week that starts next week; fraternity rush is happening this week. Turns out there are streets here in this town called "fraternity row" and "sorority row!" I didn't even know that existed. There are only about 35,000 people in this city, but there are 8 wards (congregations) here! There are 3 YSA wards!
